OMG.. that quote is perfection.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little weepy.
That's one of my favorite quotes ever!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful memorable summer, you.
That takes a LOT of pressure off.
ReplyDeleteYAY for you. And me. And all mothers.
Love that quote! I feel like it should hang on mhy fridge...

We should all have this quote across our walls! Thanks Empress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perect quote for this imperfect mother. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYay - that rocks. Considering how excited my daughter is about our trip to the EYE DOCTOR this afternoon, I think I've got it pretty easy.

ReplyDeleteMothering is the hardest, yet most rewarding career. One never retires from it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I love that quote too.
ReplyDeleteAwe. So true. And thank heavens. Perfect is boring.
ReplyDeleteYay summer!
Perfect words! Happy summer!
ReplyDeleteOh for a girl who loves quotes, that's such a beautiful one!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer my sweet friend!
"Give them all memories"...
ReplyDeleteI think I like those words even better than the quotation.
Because we ARE so busy running around trying to be - if not perfect - then at least good;
and then we miss both the big picture and the details.
I've been trying to really enjoy these days with my kids (instead of wishing the summer away so I can 'get things done').
When I find myself exhausted by it all I try to remember how brief these moments are.
Thanks for adding to the reminder. (no need to quote me ;-)
What a perfect quote! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to tattoo that on my arm. =)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your warm summer days with those beautiful boys.
ReplyDeleteI needed this today, especially after I got the frantic, sobbing phone call from my college girl who was on the interstate in the pouring rain when someone slammed into the back of her. She is fine. Her car is a little less. There are a million ways to be a good mom at at times I have been an unconventional mother, but as I sat on the phone with her, reassuring her that I was there, even if it was only across the phone lines, I knew that perhaps maybe, I did a semi-good job. That at 20, my girl still wants her mom when things are tough.
This mom gig is brutally tough but oh so rewarding and beautiful.
Just lovely. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteaw crikey, A! You rock. hard.
ReplyDeletelove this long time.
I should really look up who said that originally, I have always loved it.
ReplyDeleteLazy ass me.
I so love that quote.
My internets are moving so slowly that I'm hearing the old dial up sound in my head, but the quote is by Jill Churchill. I was trying to figure out who she was before replying, AH SUCCESS... she writes mysteries with punny titles. A lot of them. So there's that.
ReplyDeleteAmen. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote.
ReplyDeleteBuilding memories. That is what I am going to be about tomorrow.
I love that! We're working on it. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sentiment :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that quote. I just don't know what my definition of "good" is. By my standards, I'm not there yet. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteNeeded that reminder today, A. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo! And the wonderful advice.
