Friday Funny
When Will and Grace ran on NBC, for eight seasons, I tried not to miss an episode.
I loved the show, but I watched because of Sean Hayes, known as "Jack."
In this 1 min 45 sec clip, he and Molly Shannon -- playing Jack's stalker-- make me laugh out loud.
Really, this one, one of my favorite episodes.
Happy Friday!

This is absolutely hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha!!
ReplyDelete"I wore your jock strap as an oxygen mask" has to be the best line ever.
Thanks for sharing the laugh! Happy Friday to you.
I wasn't a regular watcher, but I do like Debra Messing.
ReplyDeleteI love Molly Shannon. She's hilarious everywhere, but my fave is always whenever she played those psychotic geek roles. LOL.
ReplyDeleteTracie: try and watch the whole episode on hulu. YOU WILL DIE>
ReplyDeleteAlison: I know, the entire episode is even funnier.
Ms. A: I was a regular watcher, b/c of Sean Hayes. He had so many wonderful moments.
Dosweat: I LOVE MOLLY SHANNON. My favorite is Sally O'Malley. How are you doing?
Jack and Karen too! I love them. Man, I miss that show. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteok, confession time..i may have seen one episode..sorry...funny clip though...apparently my loss...
ReplyDeletesee...now i have ruined my perfect image...there is my flaw...smiles.
ReplyDeleteI loved that show, especially Jack. In pure coincidence, my oldest son's name is Jack. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've been long gone from here due to my internet-less travels for the month of August. a) I love you for loving Will and Grace. And B) the new banner is so great. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorites! Redbook did a piece on Molly Shannon that I read last night - thought of this. My absolute favorite was Jack dancing to NSYNC at the school dance.
ReplyDeleteShe did a similar turn on Scrubs. Is she really that nuts, or just good at pretending to be?
ReplyDelete...and now I'm going to be YouTubing Will & Grace all day. My productivity and my boss thank you...
ReplyDeleteOh, how I miss JUST JACK! *jazz hands*
ReplyDeleteAli: wasn't this the best show?
ReplyDeleteDesperate: the Jack hands, all jazz, all the time.
Sharyn: I think she is just like that. I saw her interviewed on a few talk shows, and she was just like you see here.
B: I am taking notes of all chinks in the armor.
Hey, I was going to write something else but as I was reading your post, up pops a comment from you on mine. It's like Freaky Friday! How funny is that.
ReplyDeleteYes, I miss that show but they ended it right at the perfect time. Although I wish I was more like Jack, sadly, I'm more like Will. I'm sure you get that.
Anyway, thanks for reaching out to me on Twitter. I wonder how much of a mess I'll make of that... And yes, Jessica is a sweetheart for interviewing me. It really meant a lot. m.
I love(d) that show.
ReplyDeleteKaren was my favorite. Somewhere, in another one of my lives I am certain I am her.
I miss this show so much!!! I should find it on the DVR. The giggles--- so needed this today! xo
ReplyDeleteJack totally made that show for me! I had to watch this twice..I know it's still on Lifetime somewhere. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteOH I was an avid watcher..."Just Jack" (with jazz hands) was a doll! But frankly Karen was almost me ;)
ReplyDeleteThe writing on that show is so damn good.
ReplyDelete"Someone put a little extra crazy powder in their protein shake!"
I ADORED W&G! Thursday nights used to be impossible to beat!
ReplyDeleteThe jock strap line so made me gag, though!
Liz: you were a regular, too? Can u imagine if we had been able to tweet and watch back then? WHAT FUN.
ReplyDeleteMandyFish: I loved this show. Everytime, I cracked up. Now, it's Community and ModernFamily that make me laugh. Out Loud. Which I love to do.
Annabelle: Karen? OH, Karen. She was the best.
I love Molly Shannon. My favorite was when she was the Catholic school girl on SNL.
ReplyDeleteThanx 4 the click!
Loved that show! Always too funny. I especially loved Jack and Karen too.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks for that. I totally remember that episode. I'm off to watch the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love Will and Grace!
ReplyDeleteI loved Will and Grace and honestly Karen was my favorite...she is the "bad Kir" and I adore her!!!! But Jack...oh Jackie..and "Just Jack" and "jazz hands" ...all was right with the world!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Molly Shannon as Mary Katharine Elizabeth (that was her name right) as a Catholiic school girl myself she nailed it every time!
And I love the new look you highness....the blog looks beautiful!
Oh, I mourn the loss of this show still! That is a great scene, but just today I was thinking about when Minnie Driver played Karen Walker's enemy. Those were some of the most hilarious scenes ever. My favorite line? When Minnie Driver's character was leaving Karen said:
ReplyDeleteWell, I've never seen the trash take itself out before.
I'm so madly in love with W&G and especially Sean Hayes it's hard to pick a favorite episode But I think it's the one where Grace tries to explain how horrible her father is to her and every sentence Jack can top with something worse.
ReplyDeleteOne year, David Hyde Pierce won best supporting actor in a comedy (for Frasier, another fav of mine) and when Pierce accepted it he said, "This really belongs to Sean Hayes." Such a beautiful moment in a town where there are few.
A fellow comic friend of mine, Laura Kightlinger, wrote on that show and played the psycho nurse who was always inappropriate.
"Just Jack!"
ReplyDeleteLove love love Will & Grace.
S. U. P. U. R. B !!!!!
Loved Jack's screeching monkey voice.....
ReplyDeleteI adored that show. It kept me laughing all the way through my divorce.
ReplyDeleteDon't remember this one, though. Glad you posted it! Because Jack is brilliant, but add Molly Shannon and you have brilliant brilliance!
That was hilarious! Thank you for posting that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, Alexandra. I feel as though I'm one of the only people who has never seen this show, even though everyone always tells me how funny it is. This was a great clip (and I always love Molly Shannon!)
ReplyDeleteI never missed an episode. I had so many good laughs with my friends on this show.
ReplyDeleteFor a while I was Jack and my BFF hag was Karen. "Denied, denied, approved!"
And we named our puppies Will and Grace.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Hey Alex!
ReplyDeleteI used to love this show!!!! And I think I always will.
Your fancy new place is gorgeous!! xoxoxM
This made me laugh out loud! I love, love, love Molly Shannon. She is shameless and awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat was hysterical! I loved that show....such great comedic timing!
ReplyDeleteSome of the best physical comedy on the show took place when she guest starred. I love when she and Grace threw down, too.
ReplyDeleteBut my favorite? Karen. All the way. Oh, I miss her.
