Whatever You Call It, You All Are It

Call it a tribe.

Call it a support system.

Call it a network.

Whatever you want to call it, you all are it.

I posted of my nephew this past Sunday night, asking that you hold him in your hearts, think on him, send prayers, well wishes, and true love his way...and you did.

When speaking to my sister today, I asked her how he was doing. She said he reads the comments here for him every day, and that he's doing great.

Just think what it feels like for him, to look and see almost 100 people promising to pray for him.

Just stop, and really think, what that feels like to a person about to begin this part of his life.

I can't thank you without my eyes misting over.

Thank you.

You are more wonderful than any words I can ever put together, to tell you.

Thank you.

You guys are the best.

  15. Somehow I missed the original post about your nephew. What a tough thing to go through. Count my prayers in with the rest and if he sees my comment, just know that my Granny just finished successful chemo and radiation on her 5th battle with cancer...the prayers work!

  16. It is easy in such a big world to feel so very small, and not so very strong...until you reach out to and are reached back at in turn by others. Praying for strength for all of you...

  19. Hello, Alexandra's Nephew,

I hope you're reading this and that you are feeling strengthened.

You must be one amazing person to have so much love headed your way and an aunt who calls in her army to help you fight.

Here's to courage and heart and healing.
We are all here for you. Always.

  36. Darling Empress,

I'm so sorry, I haven't been around more for you. It turns out spinning multiple plates in the air, is not my strong suit. Not by a long shot. I might be a day or two late, but your nephew and all of you will be in my prayers.

  42. We can't underestimate the power of spirit and hope in overcoming illness. I was listening to a surgeon talk about this on NPR...if I can remember his book I will email you. He was so inspiring.
