I love that you two have come into each other's lives and that this post came to be as a result.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me to wrote about my own roots someday. I have been hesitant in the past to dive in because my story isn't just mine to share - if that makes sense. Other people are entwined and I never want to compromise another person's privacy.
Still, my family is wonderful - and there is much love and craziness and confusion there to mine.

Don't recall this specifically, but do know that many Jewish people changed their names to escape persecution. I always consider any information I'm able to find on my ancestors to be such a gift!
